Written in 1942 by Jimmy Mundy and Trummy Young for Billie Holiday, “Trav'lin' Light” topped the Harlem Hit Parade charts for weeks on end and neared the top of the mainstream pop charts. It has since been covered by Anita O'Day and Ella Fitzgerald.
