Damani Rhodes was born and raised in Sacramento, had his first musical experiences in church, and originally played drums and guitar.

At 18 he switched to piano and he has since worked with hiphop/soul band Sol Development and the fusion group Mino Yanci which he founded.

Damani Rhodes is essentially a soulful jazz/r&b keyboardist as he showed on his debut recording as a leader R.E.A.C.H.

His wife singer-songwriter Vadia began singing when she was five and became a notable gospel vocalist but is versatile enough to also perform jazz, r&b and show tunes.

On this LiveStream from May 28, 2020, Damani and Vadia perform a set of original music including a soulful ballad that Vadia wrote for a wedding (celebrating finally finding the right person), a melodic instrumental, a wordless vocal by Vadia on “Slow Dance In The Jungle,” a song about the importance of time, and the grooving keyboard feature “Mon Yawn Ugh.”
