Guitarist Gilad Hekselman, who was born and raised in Israel, moved to New York in 2004 and his talents were quickly recognized.
Since that time he has performed with many top jazz artists including Chris Potter, Mark Turner, Anat Cohen, Gretchen Parlato, and John Scofield, in addition to leading his own group and heading several albums.
Teamed with a bassist and drummer on July 21, 2020, Hekselman performs lengthy version of an uptempo “The End Of A Love Affair” and a medium-tempo Charlie Parker blues.
The guitarist’s playing is boppish but also pushes the boundaries as he comes up with a steady stream of fresh ideas.
