The Back Door Wolf

Howlin’ Wolf the original “Back Door Man” sings the famous blues song at the 1970 Washington D. C. Blues Festival backed by Sunnyland Slim (piano), Hubert Sumlin (guitar), Randy Joe Fullerton (bass), and S. P. Leary (drums).

*”Back Door Man” was written by Willie Dixon and recorded by Howlin’ Wolf for Chess Records in 1961, released as the B-side to Wolf’s “Wang Dang Doodle”. It has since become a standard considered a classic of Chicago blues.
