Tribute to James Peterson
James Peterson (guitar & vocals) is featured during a live club performance.
Born in Russell County, Alabama James Peterson was heavily influenced by gospel music as a child in the church. Thanks to his father who ran a local juke joint he was exposed to blues early on. He left home at age fourteen and wound up in Gary, Indiana where he learned the guitar. Entirely self taught he played with various bands and moved to Buffalo, New York in 1955. In 1970 he recorded his fist album “The Father, The Son, The Blues”. Produced and co-written by Willie Dixon it also featuring his five year old son Lucky Peterson playing keyboard.
