Bad News Is Coming

Luther Allison (guitar & vocals) performs with a band including his son Bernard Allison (guitar) in the resort town of Baden-Baden, Germany during November 1991.

Luther’s son Bernard started touring in the 1980s with Koko Taylor’s band. Later in the decade he became the leader his father’s band for his tour of Europe. While both were living together in Paris in 1989 the elder Allison scheduled studio time as a Christmas gift so that Bernard could record his debut album, a foreign release title The Next Generation. His U. S. debut Keepin’ the Blues Alive was released in 1997.
