Everything’s Gonna Be Alright
Champion Jack Dupree & King Curtis
Rockin’ Montreux ’71
Champion Jack Dupree (piano & voclas), performs live at the Montreux Jazz Festival on June 17th 1971 with King Curtis (tenor sax), Cornell Dupree (guitar), Jerry Jemmott (bass), and Oliver Jackson (drums).
This was filmed as part of a live set co-led by tenor saxophonist King Curtis and veteran blues pianist Champion Jack Dupree at the 1971 Montreux Jazz Festival. King Curtis and Dupree find a great deal of common musical ground making it truly regretful that this was to be Curtis’ final recording. He was tragically killed three months later.
