“Honeyboy”

David “Honeyboy” Edwards was born June 28, 1915 in Shaw, Mississippi. Prior to his death in 2011 “Honeyboy” was one of the last living links to Robert Johnson, and among the last original acoustic Delta blues players. In 1942 he made his first recordings (a total of fifteen sides) in Clarksdale, Mississippi with Alan Lomax for the Library of Congress. He recorded a of Honeyboy’s music.
