The Late Jo Ann Kelly appears live on May 5, 1989 live at the Albert Inn in Bedminster, Bristol, England.

Along with her brother Dave Kelly, Jo Ann Kelly was a blues fan during the early ’60s as a teen in South London. Although both became quite accomplished singer/guitarists of the genre, the deep rich tone of Jo Ann’s voice gave special validity to her performances. Despite offers to join Johnny Winter and Canned Heat, she chose to remain in London playing clubs away from the American blues scene. In October 1990 the year following an operation to remove a malignant brain tumor, Jo Ann Kelly died at the age of 46.
