Rock Me Baby
B. B. King
One of the finest versions of King’s “Rock Me Baby”
In 1964, B.B. King made his first recording of “Rock Me Baby” and it became his earliest top 40 hit.
A simple 12-bar blues, the song became a regular in King’s repertoire and was covered by many other artists.
This version, from the 1993 Montreux Jazz Festival, has fine singing and some superb guitar playing by B.B. King, who also leads the crowd in a sing-along before his powerful guitar takes the song out.
