Taj Mahal performs a classic blues anthem with Corey Harris in the late 1990s.
Blues elder Taj Mahal delivers a masterful rendition of the time honored blues classic “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” a song most famously committed to record during the late 1920s by a black string-band known as the “Mississippi Shrieks”.
Backed by guitarist Corey Harris, a musician nearly thirty years his junior, Taj Mahal’s performance transcends time drawing on traditional verse while keeping it fresh with some of his own.
