Joe Louis Walker (guitar & vocals) is featured at “Callahan’s Music Hall” in Auburn Hills, Michigan on March 16, 2012 with his band featuring Maurali Coryell (guitar), Brenda Blades (vocals), Lenny Bradford (bass), and Dorian Randolph (drums)

An avid blues historian, Joe Louis Walker often reverts to older songs and styles to display his advanced knowledge of the blues. Growing up in the San Francisco bay area he started on guitar at the age of eight, his earliest influences include T-Bone Walker, Amos Milburn, Pete Johnson, and Meade Lux Lewis. The death of his close friend Mike Bloomfield in 1981 caused him to reassess his life and enroll at San Francisco State University, earning degrees in Music and English.
