Bassist Mimi Jones was raised in the Bronx, spent time playing guitar and cello, and as a teenager switched to bass with Milt Hinton being an early mentor.
Ms. Jones studied at the Manhattan School of Music and became a Jazz Ambassador, touring the world; she has since worked with many major artists including Kenny Barron, Dianne Reeves, Tia Fuller, Ingrid Jensen, Roy Hargrove, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Kevin Mahogany, Rachel Z, Sean Jones, Cyrille Aimee, and Terri Lyne Carrington’s Mosaic Project in addition to having her own record label, Hot Tone Music.
Born in Venezuela, pianist Luis Padermo developed his musical talents early, playing on local television and radio stations by the time he was 12.
When he was 18, he moved to New York (like Mimi Jones he graduated from the Manhattan School of Music), studied with Sir Roland Hanna, and has appeared on over 200 records; his musical associations include ten years as a member of Ravi Coltrane’s quartet, Miguel Zenon, Dave Douglas, David Sanchez, Tom Harrell, Steve Turre, Ray Barretto, Brian Lynch, Conrad Herwig, and many others.
On their LiveStream from June 27, 2020, Jones and Padermo start with a duet on Horace Silver’s “Filthy McNasty,”
Padermo takes “I Fall In Love Too Easily” as an unaccompanied solo on his keyboard, and they play an adventurous and swinging original which features close interplay and creative solos.

The younger brother of Wynton and Branford Marsalis, Delfeayo Marsalis has carved out his own identity as an excellent trombonist (most inspired by J.J. Johnson but also adept at New Orleans jazz and swing) and as a record producer.
On his LiveStream from July 2, 2020, Marsalis tells informative and colorful stories, and plays solo trombone versions of some of his favorite songs, resulting in an interesting hour of information and music.
