As a young guy self-taught jazz lover, Farlow took the night shift at a sign painting company so he could listen to big bands on the radio.
When he heard Charlie Christian he immediately wanted his own electric guitar, but he couldn’t afford one so he built his own.
Where there’s a will, there’s a way – and aren’t we glad Farlow persisted!
