One of the top swing singers in jazz ever since she made her recording debut in 1982, Rebecca Kilgore uplifted every song that she sang with her swinging phrasing, perfect placement of notes, and warm and personal sound.

Proof of that can be seen and heard in this version of “The Best Things In Life Are Free” from the 3rd annual Arbors Invitational Jazz Party.

With superior playing from tenor-saxophonist Harry Allen, pianist Romano Sportiello, bassist Joel Forbes, and drummer John Cocuzzi, Rebecca Kilgore is very much in her element during a delightful performance.
