The More I See You – 1971

Dudley Moore Trio

The actor plays some piano in a style reminiscent of Oscar Peterson

Dudley Moore (1935-2002) is best known for his acting roles including in Arthur and 10.

However he was also a very skilled pianist who considered Oscar Peterson and Erroll Garner to be his main influences.

Moore, who worked with Johnny Dankworth in 1960 and made his first trio record two years later, led a group for years that had bassist Pete Morgan and drummer Chris Karan.

That unit is featured in 1971 performing “The More I See You,” swinging after a little bit of comedy.
