One of the most beautiful songs ever written, “Over The Rainbow” was composed by Harold Arlen (with lyrics by Yip Harburg) for the 1939 film “The Wizard Of Oz.”
It has received many interpretations through the years.
This version was performed in Cuba by pianist Emmet Cohen with accompaniment by bassist Reuben Rogers, drummer Joe Farnsworth, and the Havana Chamber Orchestra.
It starts as a slow ballad and gradually gains momentum as Cohen stretches out and creates some fresh variations without losing the beauty of the classic song.
