A masterful pianist who should be ranked among the greats, Michel Camilo has been playing dynamic music since at least the mid-1980s.
While Camilo has performed at hundreds of concerts, one cannot imagine him playing with more force, power, passion, and energy than on this version of “A Night In Tunisia.”
Starting unaccompanied and then joined by bassist Charles Flores and drummer Dafnis Prieto, Camilo displays both remarkable virtuosity and superb ideas during this high-powered performance.
Flores and especially Prieto also contribute explosive solos with Camilo unable to stop smiling at the other musicians.
