A fine jazz singer based in Los Angeles since 2000, Sara Gazarek has led eight albums since 2005.
While jazz remains her foundation, she has often explored other types of music, particularly in recent years.
However, this performance from 2015 finds Gazarek singing the 1920s song “After You’ve Gone” in a modernized and uptempo rendition that retains the joy of the earlier versions.
Sara Gazarek is joined by pianist Josh Nelson (who takes an impressive solo), bassist Hamilton Price, and drummer Zach Harmon while guitarist Larry Koonse looks on.
