While Caroline Davis was born in Singapore to a British father and a Swedish mother, she grew up in Atlanta and Texas.
After studying music and teaching at universities, she moved to New York in 2013 and has since made a strong impression, leading five albums and recording frequently with other artists including Lee Konitz and Ron Miles.
She was 21 at the time of this 2013 performance with a pianoless quartet; at the time she often worked with guitarist Mike Allemana, bassist Matt Ferguson, and drummer Jeremy Cunningham who may be her sidemen during this intriguing and advanced original which gives one a glimpse of her very individual playing.
