Chick Corea (1941-2021) was an innovative pianist for 55 years.

Bobby McFerrin (1950- ) has been a consistently remarkable and creative singer since the 1980s.

They first teamed up in 1990 and came back together on several occasions during 2001-02.

Their duet concerts were full of adventurous performances that found them often taking wild chances and displaying their wit and creativity.

On “Armando’s Rhumba #2” (which is really identical to “Armando’s Rhumba”), McFerrin uses his falsetto to hit very high notes, sings basslines, satirically imitates an opera singer, and inspires Corea to also cut loose.

It is certainly a fun performance.
