“The guitarist-educator talks and teaches “Autumn Leaves””

A major and influential educator, guitarist Ted Greene (1946-2005) was always enthusiastic about sharing his vast musical knowledge with listeners and students.

He was a brilliant guitarist with his own sound but unfortunately Greene barely recorded at all, only leading one solo album in his career.

This rare film clip, the first of two parts taken from a 1993 seminar held at the Musicians’ Institute in Hollywood, has Greene talking technique a bit and performing “Autumn Leaves.”
