While he occasionally mixes together jazz and reggae from his native Jamaica, when it comes to swinging jazz piano, only a relatively few are on Monty Alexander’s level.
Alexander has led dozens of rewarding albums during the past 55 years, and when he plays straight ahead jazz, he competes with Oscar Peterson (one of his early influences).
