Etta Jones recorded a popular version of “Don’t Go To Strangers” in 1960.

Tierney Sutton has been a major singer since the late 1990s and has led at least 15 albums since then.

Always a fine technician, Ms. Sutton has grown in her emotional content in recent years, becoming a much warmer singer.

She began singing in a trio with guitarist Serge Merlaud and bassist Kevin Axt by the time she performed this version of “Don’t Go To Strangers” in 2014 and has continued in that setting in addition to leading her regular quartet; she has since married Merlaud.

The warmth displayed between these three musicians makes this a memorable performance.
