In this segment filmed in Berlin in 1972 alto saxophonist, Ornette Coleman plays some great improv, at one point showing of his skill as a multi-instrumentalist by switching to the piano.
Throughout the ’60s Coleman had continued to indulge in his string textures interest and became a Down Beat magazine Hall-of-Famer just three years prior to this performance.
