Guitarist Frank Vignola, a versatile player whose work ranges from swing to hard bop, has always loved Hank Jones’ “Interface,” an augmented blues with a catchy theme.
In 2001 he was quite happy to have the opportunity to play “Interface” with its composer.
Joined by bassist Peter Washington and drummer Lewis Nash, Vignola and Jones swing their way through the piece with all four musicians getting to take solos along the way.
