Paris Washboard, which was formed in the late 1980s, is usually a quartet comprised of the masterful stride pianist Louis Mazetier, trombonist Daniel Barda, clarinetist Alain Marquet, and a washboard player.

For this 2018 performance at a house party, Charles Prevost was on washboard and the band added a fine trumpeter Michel Bonnet.

With Mazetier driving the group (a string bass is never needed), Paris Washboard romps through “It’s A Sin To Tell A Lie” which Fats Waller had recorded in the 1930s.
