George Duke (1946-2013) was a very talented keyboardist and producer.

After having important stints with Cannonball Adderley and Frank Zappa, Duke had a versatile career that often found him stretching beyond jazz into funk, r&b and pop.

Seen at the 2010 Java Jazz Festival, Duke at first plays unaccompanied and soulfully on a keyboard, bending notes, showing a bit of what he can do, and clearly having a good time.

Duke is soon joined by a rhythm section that includes bassist Larry Kimpel, performing the easy-listening and grooving “It’s On.”
