L.A. Blues
Bill Frisell
The guitarist gets lowdown during a hot blues solo
One of the most original guitarists in jazz (his sound is immediately recognizable), Bill Frisell has often played country-oriented music and modern Americana in recent years.
This performance from 2000 (filmed in Argentina) is quite a bit different, a lowdown and rockish blues with an ominous bassline.
Frisell takes his time but builds up his solo to a passionate level during an exciting performance that will be loved by those who enjoy electric blues.
