Famous for being a member of the Bill Evans Trio for ten years, bassist Eddie Gomez has led some stimulating groups of his own since that time.
Gomez and the inventive pianist David Kikoski recorded a trio album back in 1989 (with drummer Al Foster) and appeared on a 1995 George Garzone set but otherwise have only crossed musical paths on a rare basis.
With drummer Bill Stewart, this otherwise undocumented trio really tears into “Nardis” at a festival appearance in 2007, with all three players taking intense solos.
