In the 1980s, bassist Milt Hinton regularly sang “Old Man Time” which fit both his life and his occupation.
20 years before, Louis Armstrong hosted the Hollywood Palace and sang the song in a duet with Jimmy Durante, a long-time admirer who had played jazz piano in the 1920s.
The memorable result is a humorous and heartwarming meeting between two great veterans.
