At a special Carnegie Hall concert in 1996 called “Eastwood After Hours,” many of Clint Eastwood’s favorite jazz musicians had opportunities to perform with the emphasis on songs that were utilized in Eastwood films.

James Moody digs into “Parker’s Mood,” a famous Charlie Parker blues that was heard in Eastwood’s film Bird.

Moody is joined by pianist Barry Harris (who has a brief solo) and an orchestra conducted by Lennie Niehaus; a few brief film clips from Bird are seen during the performance.
