Throughout his career, Eddie “Cleanhead” Vinson consistently delighted audiences with his good-time blues, whether singing or playing alto.

During this televised appearance from Denmark, Vinson is joined by the Count Basie Orchestra in 1972.

Cleanhead performs “Person To Person,” a lowdown blues that Joe Williams also sang.

In addition to his humorous singing (which makes Basie smile), Vinson also plays an alto solo that sets the mood.
