Copenhagen 1971

Fifty four minutes worth of music starting with the Thelonious Monk composition “Round Midnight”

I don’t know who put this show together or what the circumstances were, but again, we have to thank our friends in Europe, specifically Denmark, for this one.

Personnel

Dizzy Gillespie – trumpet
Sonny Stitt – alto saxophone
Kai Winding – trombone
Thelonious Monk – piano
Al McGibbon – bass
Art Blakey – drums
