Louis Mazetier and Rossano Sportiello are both brilliant pianists who have mastered swing, stride, and other early forms of jazz.

Mazetier is best known for his work with Paris Washboard while Sportiello has often performed with Scott Hamilton and other swing all-stars.

They teamed up in 2007 for an uptempo version of “Runnin’ Wild” which includes the two pianists trading choruses.

Mazetier (who is on the right) is so dazzling during his first solo chorus and his striding is so powerful that Sportiello looks both a bit surprised and impressed; he manages to hold his own with Mazetier as they drive to the piece’s conclusion.
