One of the greats, pianist Keith Jarrett was heard in a variety of settings during his career with his longest association being with the trio that he had with bassist Gary Peacock and drummer Jack DeJohnette.

Known as the Standards Trio, the three musicians worked together on and off during 1983-2009.

This setting gave Jarrett, who had become famous for playing solo concerts that featured his free improvisations, an opportunity to create fresh renditions of standards.

He stretches out on 1929’s “With A Song In My Heart,” a performance that also includes short spots for Peacock and DeJohnette.
