As made my famous by Billy Eckstine
A composition published by Victor Young in 1941, “My Foolish Heart” was introduced to the public that same year by vocalist Martha Mears in an eponymous film. The song would go on to win an Academy Award nomination, despite being utterly panned by Time magazine.
Since it's been covered by such jazz greats as George Shearing, Oscar Peterson, Kurt Elling, Gene Harris and Keith Jarrett.
Personnel:
Bill Evans, piano
Larry Bunker, drum
Chuck Israel, bass
