After a very rough period (1967-73) in which it looked as if Chet Baker was finished in music, the trumpeter made an unlikely but very successful comeback.
While his personal life would always be messy, Baker did some of his finest trumpet playing during his final dozen years.
“Love Vibrations” is a romantic bossa-nova flavored number that is performed by Chet Baker, flutist Jacques Pelzer, and pianist Harold Danko with a quintet during a relaxed performance in Rome from 1976.
