Composed in 1929 by Fat Waller, Waller's recording of the tune in 1934 was admitted to the Grammy Hall of Fame.
It's hard to imagine how anyone could top Fats on this tune, but on this day Garner gave everyone who ever touched this song a run for their money.

Watch how his extended and brilliant intro drove his rhythm section - Eddie Calhoun on bass and Kelly Martin on drums - a little batty. Watch for Calhoun throwing his hands up in amusement and bafflement at the length of the intro.
