Poet Gil Scott-Heron warns about the danger of nuclear power plants
Gil Scott-Heron was a major poet and social commentator who was in his prime in the 1970s and ‘80s.
“We Almost Lost Detroit” was originally recorded in 1977 for Scott-Heron’s Bridges album.
Accompanying himself on electric piano and joined by his Amnesia Express at a London concert on Mar. 14, 1990, Gil Scott-Heron talks and sings about what almost happened to Detroit.
