After having collaborated with Jack DeJohnette and Gary Peacock on Peacock's 1977 “Tales of Another” album, Keith Jarrett decided to form a standards trio with the two. It was a partnership that would last at least a quarter century. The trio was famous for their work with standards like this, but their studio albums often constitute original improvisation.

With music by Jerome Kern, “All the Things You Are” was made most famous by performers like Artie Shaw, Frankie Masters and Tommy Dorsey.
