Throughout his career, guitarist John Scofield has always had his own instantly recognizable sound.
While Scofield has recorded many albums in the funkier side of jazz, he is a versatile player who is capable of making his guitar sing.
At a Ray Charles tribute concert held at the Berklee School of Music on Sept. 22, 2012, the guitarist draws out the beauty in the melody of “You Don’t Know Me,” a song long associated with Charles; Scofield is joined by electric bassist Steve Swallow and drummer Bill Stewart.
