Keith Jarrett began his acclaimed series of solo piano concerts in the early 1970s.
While most of the time at those performances, Jarrett created lengthy and spontaneous free improvisations on the spot, when it came to encores, he often played briefer versions of standards.
This heartfelt rendition of “Over The Rainbow” was performed in 1984 at a Tokyo concert, and it is simply beautiful.
