Mose Allison was a very individual performer, combining together his jazz piano and country blues singing with his own wit and wisdom.
His songs were generally about universal issues, expressed by his distinctive voice and unconventional piano.
Allison’s performances were impossible to classify as anything but Mose Allison music, and he had a strong influence not only on jazz singer-songwriters but the more creative folk, pop and rock performers too.
