Oliver Lake (b. Marianna, Arkansas, September 14, 1942) is an American jazz saxophonist, flutist, composer and poet. He is known mainly on alto saxophone but also performs on soprano saxophone and flute.
During the 1960s Lake worked with the Black Artists Group out of St. Louis which also included the Bowie brothers and Charles Bob Shaw.
In 1977 Lake co-founded the World Saxophone Quartet, with David Murray, Julius Hemphill and Hamiet Bluiett. He's active in various settings today and is based in Montclair, NJ
