Oscar Peterson performs the standard "There Will Never Be Another You" at a 1994 concert in Munich.
A stroke in 1993 left Peterson's left side severely impaired, forcing the piano virtuoso to rely almost entirely on his left hand. In the years after his stroke, Peterson performed with a guitarist to fill out the lower-middle register.
"There Will Never Be Another You," composed by Harry Warren and Mack Gordon for the 1942 film Iceland, is one of the most recorded jazz standards and a staple of the jazz repertoire.
Personnel:
Oscar Peterson - piano
Lorne Lofsky - guitar
Neils-Henning Ørsted Pedersen - bass
