Written by Jesse Harris and debuting on his album 1999 album Jesse Harris & the Ferdinandos, “Don't Know Why” reached worldwide fame with a cover by Norah Jones. Jones' rendition would claim three Grammy wins.

Jazz guitar great Pat Metheny would record it for his 2003 album One Quiet Night. Fellow jazz guitarist George Benson would do a version on the 2011 album Guitar Man.
