The always-amazing Rahsaan Roland Kirk, who could create 20 minute solos on one breath (via circular breathing), become a horn section by blowing into three saxophones at once, and play creatively in nearly every jazz style, always had an open mind towards other idioms of music.
In 1969 he appeared on British television jamming with Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce of Cream.
He is seen on this rare film clip playing a funky vamp with a medium-size group filled with British players including Clapton and Bruce.
The performance, which is mostly comprised of wild ensembles, gets pretty exciting and rollicking.
