Sarah Vaughan could sing anything without missing a note or a moment of hesitation.
One of the great singers of all time, Vaughan only had Ella Fitzgerald as competition among jazz-oriented female singers.
From Perry Como’s Kraft Music Hall show in 1960, Sarah Vaughan sings “Just One Of Those Things” at a rapid tempo with an unseen big band (somehow sounding quite relaxed), chats a little with Como, and then shows that she could have been an opera singer if times had been different.
