After his bossa-nova years (1961-66) ended, tenor-saxophonist Stan Getz entered an explorative period when he went through several groups.
He led a quartet with the young pianist Chick Corea, had another group with pianist Stanley Cowell and singer Flora Purim, was showcased on orchestral projects, and in 1971 headed an adventurous quartet in Europe that teamed him with organist Eddy Louiss, guitarist Rene Thomas and drummer Bernard Lubat.
While this clip from French television with the latter band originally was labelled 1969, it is from two years later; Getz plays quite passionately on a post bop original with one of his only regular groups to feature an organist.
